ABOUT CHRIS MORRISON
Thank you for choosing to work with Chris Morrison. An Independent Social Worker with over 14 years’ experience in Children & Families Social Work. With a background and specialism in childhood trauma, child protection, children looked after and care leavers. Chris has a particular interest in Andrew Turnell’s, Signs of Safety model and practices within this frame of work. Chris is a children's storybook author that focuses on short therapeutic stories that help children to process and understand traumatic experiences. Over the years, Chris has managed a variety of Children's Social Care Teams from Children that are Looked After, to Unaccompanied Minors. Chris has managed a Specialist Children’s Social Care Team working with Specialist practitioners who work directly with Substance Misuse, Domestic Violence and Private Fostering. Chris is dynamic, approachable, fair and highly analytical when it comes to social work practice, with the ability to produce work of exceptional quality.

I am well versed with both frontline practice and at senior management level. My day-to-day tasks consist of analysing complex child protection information and making sound decisions in line with statutory child protection procedures.

WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE CAN I EXPECT FROM CHRIS MORRISON?Chris Morrison delivers on exceptional quality. He first establishes the need to understand what is required of him, then builds upon relationships that help to deliver the best quality.

I AM A PARENT LOOKING FOR AN INDEPENDENT SOCIAL WORKER? HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?Contact will be made within 2 working days. Once you complete the enquiry or contact form, Chris Morrison will contact yourself and go through what it is you need. If a specific Social Work assessment or report is required this will be discussed, but on average can take up to 12 weeks for completion – depending on which assessment.

CAN THE TRAINING THAT IS OFFERED BE TAILORED TO MY ORGANISATIONS NEEDS?Yes. Each training package offered by Chris Morrison can be tailored to the organisations needs and outcomes. Training can also be either physically or virtually. Please see our training pack offers and discount packages can also be agreed depending on the training class size.

IS THE SAFEGAURDING TRAINING OPEN TO ANYONE?Yes. This is open to any adult working with children and young people. The training is open for those in educational settings, community groups, faith-based groups, social services and more. Training can be offered 1:1 or in group settings.

WILL I GET A CERTIFICTE ONCE THE TRAINING IS COMPLETED?Yes. A CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certificate will be issued to all those that have successfully completed our training courses. CPD is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. CPD is a holistic approach towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout a professional’s career.
